Abstract

FAP is an autosomal dominant disease caused by mutations of APC gene. Recently hyperlipidemia is thought as one of the extracolonic complications of FAP and the symptoms of hyperlipidemia have been seen in the classical FAP mouse model with Apc gene mutation. The relations among hyperlipidemia, FAP and APC gene mutation are discussed extensively in this review. The purpuse is to provide the valuable information for preventing and treating the FAP patients.
